The Argo Higher Education Foundation

The Argo Higher Education Foundation was started in 1964 by local businesses to provide financial assistance to deserving Argonauts to continue their post-secondary education.  Each year about eight seniors are awarded these scholarships which are renewed each year provided that the students remain in good academic standing.

This foundation is funded solely on individual donations and profits made from our fundraisers.  The foundation is looking to expand its fundraising efforts in order to maintain, and hopefully expand, scholarship opportunities for our students.

All donations are tax deductible, to the extent allowed by law, and checks can be made to the Argo Higher Education Foundation.  An investment in our youth of today is an investment in the future.  Thank you for the continued support of our Argonauts.

Casino Night Recap

A Big Thank You!

We are extremely proud to announce that this year’s Casino Night raised over $22,000.  Because of the generosity of individuals like you, we are now able to diversify our opportunities and award many additional students scholarships.

I am truly humbled by the support of the Argo Community.  Last year, we raised enough funds to award scholarships to over 40% of this year’s applicants.  This remarkable accomplishment is a reflection of the efforts of the Foundation committee, the staff at Argo High School, and community members like you.  Thank you for believing in our kids.  And, thank you for your support.

We look forward to supporting the students and entertaining the community with many more events like this for years to come.

Testimonial from Past Recipient’s

I always dreamed of becoming a teacher and giving back to the community and school that helped me become who I am, and this scholarship definetly helped me on this journey. Now I'm back, teaching and helping out the community and school that did so much for me, Argo High School."

Tommy Jankowicz, Class of 1996

The leadership opportunities that I had at Argo Community High School prepared me for college and my career over the years. I’m thankful for the Argo Higher Education Foundation and the scholarship I was awarded to help me pursue my bachelors at Loyola University."

Sarah Seiwart, Class of 1997

Without the financial assistance I received from various organizations and institutions, such as the Argo Higher Education Foundation, my post-secondary pursuits would have been extremely difficult for my parents and me to make my dreams come true. For that, I am very grateful."
